Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a west end musical based on the best loved children’s novel by Roald Dahl, the stage show is written by David Greig and directed by the prosperous Sam Mendes.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory the musical tells the story of an unfortunate young boy (Charlie) whose luck changes when he finds a golden ticket within a chocolate bar, which invites him to the elusive wonderful Wonka chocolate factory. Charlie, one of five winners, is offered the chance to make dreams of feasting upon more chocolates and sweets he could ever imagine, however upon arrival the winners realise the factory has many weird tales and surprises. The show held its first world premiere on 25th June 2013 at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London.
