American rock band, Vampire Weekend, have announced details regarding a UK tour, this November! The tour’s set list is expected to feature songs from their most recent album, “Modern Vampires Of The City”.

The rock band from New York City will play five dates in total around the UK. They will begin their tour at Birmingham’s NIA on November the 12th before travelling to the following locations: London, Glasgow and Leeds. Their final date of the tour will be at Manchester Arena on the 17th of November. Noah and The Whale will be support acts for all of these dates.

This is not the first time Vampire Weekend has performed in the UK, nor is it the first time this year! The band recently performed on the pyramid stage at Glastonbury 2013 playing a cover of Joe Cocker’s arrangement of The Beatles’ “With A Little Help From My Friends”. Whilst in the country this month, they have also supported Mumford & Sons at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on the 6th July.

Vampire Weekend’s first album was released at the start of 2008. The self-titled album peaked at number 15 on the UK Albums chart. Their success began from this point on. The band’s second album, debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200. This success then allowed them to embark on their journey’s promoting their music all around the world including trips to the UK at Glastonbury and T In The Park in 2010.

Their third and most recent album “Modern Vampires of the City” also debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200. The success of this album made the band record holders as they are the only independent rock band that has entered at number 1 on two consecutive releases.

Modern Vampires City was described as “very much the last of the trilogy” by band member, Koenig. But the question is, will you witness the last of the “darker and more organic” trilogy? Tickets available here:
